JC Patrick partners with non-profit organizations to solve challenges, leading to an increased bottom line.
Since 1992, she’s focused on increasing corporate and individual giving programs at public radio stations,
raising millions of dollars for this quality programming stream. She works with stations in all market sizes, from
major markets to small, unrated markets. Services include staff coaching...writing donor communications and pledge drive scripts...leading sales training workshops and board retreats...acclimating commercial sales staff to public radio... designing marketing/social media plans...performing development and underwriting program assessments, and more.
JC also works as an Associate Consultant with Goalbusters Consulting, writing donor communications such as annual fund and mid-level giving appeals, e-newsletters, and case for support materials. Client categories include healthcare, medical, higher education, national service organizations, local/regional arts, conservation, to name a few. She analyzes marketing and social media programs, making recommendations to help clients most effectively tell their stories.
Nationally, JC spent ten years as the Station Development Manager for NPR, where she worked with 800+ member stations in all areas of corporate fundraising, with a special focus in online sponsorship and generational marketing. She held two positions at Houston Public Radio over eight years – Director of Marketing and Development and Director of Corporate Support. Her prior lives include director of in-house advertising for a regional retail chain and senior buyer/planner for a large regional advertising agency, as well as nine years in commercial television production.
JC is a frequent presenter at industry conferences, and is the recipient of several national development awards in marketing, underwriting and overall development. She holds a B.A. in Radio/TV from the University of Houston, and is a graduate of the Honors College. She successfully earned RAB's title of Certified Digital Marketing Consultant.
